Today on #InternationalCatDay as part of our #EverydayRituals series we have a very simple ritual to share. Just as you will find a cat going off on its own and being quiet this is a reminder of the importance of having some well earned 'me time'. A time when you switch off your phone and be away from all the distractions and allow your mind and your body to relax and come back to the calm that lies deep within! πŸ’š

This month is #HappinessHappensMonth to remind us to be aware of what brings us happiness and how to share happiness with others. 😁
As part of our #EverydayRituals series, one of the most powerful ways of connecting to our own happiness is through gratitude. πŸ™
Every morning or night just spend a moment to think about what you are grateful for in your life at that moment and why. You may like to write it down and create a gratitude journal.
By connecting to what you already have in your life and being grateful for it creates a sense of wellbeing and happiness. πŸ’š

As part of our #EverydayRituals series, today we are focussing on a feeling ritual for grounding and energy. Share in the comments how you benefit from connecting to the Earth. πŸ’šπŸŒπŸŒ³

How to do it:
1. Go outside and find a patch of grass or dirt
2. Take off your shoes and place your bare feet on the ground.
3. Take a few deep breaths into your belly.
4.Notice the sensations that you feel on the bottom of your feet.
5.Go for a little walk if it feels good.
6.Continue noticing sensations and breathing deeply.
7. Be grateful for the Earth and her energies.

Why do it?
Human beings evolved in connection with the Earth's energy. We walked barefoot and we slept in contact with the Earth never realising that its surface contained limitless, natural, healing energy. Walking around barefoot is not our main mode of travel any longer. We live indoors much of the time and when we do walk or run outside we wear rubber soled shoes which prevent our feet from being able to absorb the Earth's subtle energy.
The natural rhythmic pulsations of energy flowing through and emanating from the surface of the Earth keep the biological machinery and global life running in rhythm and balance-and that includes you! Unfortunately, we live like cut flowers, detached from the nourishing Earth energy. Earthing, also known as grounding, is simply reconnecting to the Earth's healing energy.

Practice Tenshintaido, Kenbu Tenshinryu, calligraphy, meditation. Laying down on the grass, touching trees, walking. ✨🌍✨

Today is #InternationalTigerDay and did you know that India’s wild tiger population has risen by 33% in 4 years? Tiger populations in India plummeted due to poaching and the destruction of habitats. By 2014 there were just 2,200 wild tigers in India but numbers are now increasing and today there are 3,000 tigers in India. They have done this by creating more reserves where tigers can breed and introducing tougher sentences for poachers as well as working with villages in areas where tigers come into contact with people. But there is more work to do, including protection of their natural habitat. India have shown that determined action makes a difference. What is your country doing to protect biodiversity? πŸ…πŸ’šπŸŒ
